The short version written for the Snayu team

The front page of the official docs (Hexanomicon). It introduces LychD as a self-hosted AI daemon and points to the four main sections: Installation, The Body, Divination (using and learning from the system) and the Design Rules.

Why read it: Start here to get oriented and find the right entry point; it links to Getting Started, What Actually Works and the main chapters.
  1. 1New engineers should go to Getting Started first, then the CONTRIBUTING guide on GitHub.
  2. 2All maturity claims live only in What Actually Works (State of Work), not on feature pages.
  3. 3The four gates are Installation (Summoning), The Body (Sepulcher), Divination and Design Rules (Covenants).

LychD

The open-source software itself. "Lich" + "D" for daemon, the Linux word for a background service.

It's like: If the Lich is the character, LychD is the actor who plays it.

The Prophecy

At last! You have unearthed the pages of an alchemical grimoire built on the ancient secrets of Transmutation.

The Great Work

You, the MagusYou, the Operator, will not transmute mere lead. You shall transmute your very soul within the eternal crypt of the Phylactery and bind it to the Lich—a living extension of your Will.

"While the world slept, content with its reliable illusions, the MagusYou, the Operator walked into the dark, seeking a truth that was not yet stable, but was infinitely more real."

Start here

New engineers: use Getting Started to pick a path (repository verification vs live-host SummoningInstallation), then CONTRIBUTING for commands and the team branch contract. Maturity claims live only in State of Work.

The Four Gates

To master LychD, pass through the four gates of knowledge.

Enter the Work before raising its body. Follow Broadcast from source evidence to a publication candidate and the separate act of release. The Composition Portfolio opens onto the other applications being designed.

For the philosophical journey, begin with Incantation and follow the five seals of Transcendence. For the creative cycle, enter Transmutation: give an undertaking form, put it to trial, and carry its lesson into the next creation. These paths need no installation.

To contribute, follow one request through the Map, then use the contribution guide.

The Metamorphosis roadmap follows the founding year through five books, with the complete weekly quotations and the current Genesis plan.

The Tongue of the Construct

Keep the Lexicon at hand to decipher terms like SoulstoneLocal Model, Quadlet, and Autopoiesis.

LychD remains pre-alpha. State of Work records what works and what remains unfinished.

When you are ready to give the Work a body, draw the Summoning Circle.
