Corpus
In plain words: Training data admission
How a training purpose and nominated records become one admitted, immutable data snapshot and then a Dataset Manifest, with consent, license, privacy, lineage-safe splits and a sealed holdout.
- 1Nothing is trainable by default: success, approval, database access or storage consent never grant training eligibility.
- 2Splits are fixed by lineage groups before generation, and a negative ledger keeps rejected items excluded.
- 3Holdout answers and benchmark solutions must never leak into prompts, retrieval, augmentation or selection.
Designed Neither admission nor compilation runs yet.

At the furnace door, every offering awaits judgment.
Before a trainer receives anything, SoulforgeModel Trainer must turn a Training IntentRequest and exact nominated records into an admitted immutable snapshot, then a Dataset Manifest. Both passages are Designed; neither runs. State of Work owns delivery, while ADR 33 owns admission law and the complete record schemas.
Admit one snapshot
Nomination requests review. AAn DriftEvaluator Case or Outcome, MirrorPersona Keeper attribution, HitLApproval Step decision, ArchiveLong-term Memory row, success, refusal, repetition, storage consent, or database access never grants training eligibility. Runtime data requires opt-in. A failed or refused RunJob Record may supply useful evidence; success may be noise or one duplicated error.
Training IntentRequest records the Principal, exact purpose, target capability, base digest, allowed data classes, and authority boundary.
Corpus Admission freezes the material and the conditions of its use together. It binds sources, RunsJob Records, artifacts, producers, times, transformations, and generated descendants to the declared purpose, retention, derivative use, consent, license or other authority, and approving Principal. The same record states privacy minimization, secret removal, and reviewable redaction limits, so later compilation can be checked against what was actually admitted.
It also fixes the learning claim: target behavior, objective, expected lift, and regression limits. Lineage groups connect duplicates, revisions, sibling trajectories, and generated variants before the split. Train, development, and sealed-holdout membership then become immutable before training-facing generation, preventing related material from quietly appearing on both sides of the examination.
Accepted members travel with a negative ledger of rejected, redacted, and duplicate member ids; retry or another compiler cannot restore exclusions. Refuse admission and name the failed condition when provenance, training authority, privacy clearance or minimization, relevance, lineage-safe splits, or a viable uncontaminated sealed holdout is missing.
Compile without leakage
The compiler reads only that admitted snapshot and emits one immutable Dataset Manifest. Each field must trace to a source or a versioned deterministic transformation. Preserve the role, tool, workflow, and authority context needed to understand the example, and distinguish an observation from a human label, evaluator judgment, augmentation, truthful non-completion, or failure.
The manifest records how the compiler handled the material: filtering, redaction, truncation, normalization, sampling, lineage, splits, and audit statistics. These records make the compiled Dataset inspectable without allowing compilation to reopen the admission decision.
Sealed-holdout answers, benchmark solutions, evaluator rationales, and target artifacts cannot enter prompts, retrieval, augmentation, preference construction, trainer metadata, or selection. A benchmark used to select the corpus must be disclosed; without an untouched control, it cannot serve as independent promotion evidence. Schema conformance alone does not establish truth.
Only the Dataset Manifest crosses to the trainer; nominations and ambient stores remain outside the corpus.
Refusal and return
Before a manifest exists, repair missing evidence, authority, minimization, grouping, or holdout, then submit a new immutable Corpus Admission. Existing history remains unchanged.
If privacy, authority, license, contamination, or leakage fails later, quarantine the snapshot and manifest, block reuse, follow lineage through derived RunsJob Records, candidates, and claims, and build a clean admission and manifest. ADR 33 owns the full descendant policy. Deletion cannot remove influence from weights already trained.
The immutable Dataset Manifest is SoulforgeModel Trainer's sole corpus handoff into a future Training RunJob Record.
